At 2008-2009 ago, Neostudio Architects have build a new extentions for a residences in the magnificent Acacia trees plantation in Suburbs of Poznan, Poland. In terms of the site conditions, the picturesque plot with trees plantation giving challenge for architects to meet the demands of clients. If you have a similar site conditions, this will probably give you the inspiration to plan your dwellings. This Poznan House was designed in contemporary style, the clients brief is to create a new structure that would accommodate a spacious single storey living space with a kitchen and a dining area, while the existing building was to be renovated and converted to house a garage and storage functions in the ground floor and bedrooms in the upper level. The architects meet the client demand by create a new structure which is attached to the existing one with the staircase. Now, the residences is clearly divided into two volumes, the old one with its historical charm that shows its primary usage and the extentions that is a clean contemporary form. Used materials and large windows in the living space connect with the surrounding scenery – the form seems to be dissolved in the nature.
